Italian Sunshine Lunch - Final Call!
Just a few spaces left
Friday 25 January
12 noon for 12.30pm
We're serving up specialities from southern Italy where the sun always shines.  The menu options are either Beef Lasagna, which is said to have originated in Naples, or Tuna Pasta made the way they do it in Sicily.  Plus garlic bread, of course, and tea/coffee afterwards. All the food is home-made just like mamma used to make. Bellissimo!

Lunch will be served from 12.30pm in the Clubhouse, and it costs £5 per person for members, £6 per person for friends of members.

The bar will also be open if you'd like a drop of vino. Be there on time if you like your pasta "al dente"!

If you'd like to have a bit of Italian sunshine in your life this January, please send an email to chris@picklesnet.com and say how many people will be coming to lunch and which of the two menu choices they would like, so that we can cater for the right numbers.
You can pay when you arrive.

This season we will have the bar open to support sailing on Thursday night and Sunday lunchtime (and any special sailing events as well ) We know the sailors will be there but we’d love to attract some others who fancy a drink and a chat.

Wouldn't it be great if you were able to see what weather conditions are like on Beer Beach before you leave home to get your boat out
A joint initiative between the Coastal Community Team of Beer Parish Council and Beer Sailing Club is making this possible. The Coastal Community Team is creating a new Village Web Site that is aimed at local residents as well as at visitors. As part of that goal, it wants to have a live webcam pointing towards the beach that anyone in the world can look at over the internet.
Beer Sailing Club will be hosting the webcam and will be organising the installation and linking of it to the Club's new broadband connection, all of which is due to happen before the end of this month.

The courses include valuable additional training on how to manage the launch and retrieval of a Rib on a shingle beach. Get in touch with Alan for more details.
