N.B. another date for your diary: Paella Night by Grant Cueto, Thursday 3rd July

Club Racing
The Laser fleet has steadily built on a strong start to the season culminating in a competitive fleet of 9 on the start line for last Thursday evening's race - in a light to moderate South Easterly breeze our Laser Captain, James G demonstrated great upwind and downwind technique to lead the race home by some distance leaving the rest of the fleet to scrap for the title of 'best of the rest'.
Representative Racing last weekend
Well Done James G for his 3rd place at the Mounts Bay SC Laser SW Grand Prix and to young Daniel Thompson for his very creditable 4th place at the South West Area Topper Championships at Saltash YC. Both of these results were achieved against top class sailors in very windy conditions - Well Done and thank you for flying the flag for Beer SC.

Sunday Morning Sailing and 'Apres' Lunch
The clubhouse terrace is a fine viewing platform and the Race Hut crew are always open to the offer of a coffee. You are also very welcome to join us for a late 'apres sail' lunch around 1.30pm
Thursday and Monday Evenings in the Clubhouse Bar
The bar is open for a welcome sundowner. There is also hot food on offer - come down and see what's going on.

Beer Sailing School
The Sailing School have started their new season too - Well Done Alan and Tony.
If you are interested in learning to sail or getting a 'refresher' get in touch with Alan. He will shortly also be offering courses in powerboat ... watch this space

Volunteers to help Alan and Tony with boat winching, derigging and packing away would be very much appreciated.

Winch Volunteers
There's no better sight for for the patrol boat crew than to see some willing volunteers waiting to help 'White Eagle' safely back to it's berth on the beach

Sailing Club Winches
The Sailing Club winches are there to make life easier for everyone to go sailing. If you need some advice or guidance on how to use them safely please get in touch. We are available to help.

Wednesday Morning Coffee Club in the Clubhouse
So much better than 'Costa' and the view is magnificent - catch up for a 'social' coffee with other club members

Sailing is great fun, Apres Sail is very sociable
Thank you to all the volunteers who have helped out so far out in the bay, in the Race Hut and in the clubhouse. We can't go sailing without you.
Don't be shy, if you're interested in sailing or helping, don't wait to be asked, just come down to the clubhouse and get involved, in the clubhouse, in the Race Hut, or on the water.

Be There or Be Forever Square

The Luggers have also started sailing at last
After missing the first few Mondays due to adverse weather conditions, there were 8 luggers out on Monday followed by a very sociable evening in the clubhouse.

Cheers and Beers
