Hello Sailors
Presentation Evening with Roast Dinner 4pm Sunday October 27th We shall be starting the sailing races at 1pm so that the sailors will get up to the clubhouse in time for the Trophy Presentation at around 4pm. Your applause, cheers, whistles and general support for all this season's worthy trophy winners would be very much appreciated even if you don't intend to eat at the club. The bar will be open from 4pm. The roast dinner will follow directly after the presentation. This will be a sit down roast dinner, dessert and coffee served at table, similar to our Supper Clubs. Autumn and Winter Series Sailing We have been thwarted by the weather in recent weeks due to a lack of wind but this weekend it looks set up for a decent breeze off the land. The prestigious Wells Cup is still up for grabs so let's have a good turn out all you Laser sailors - be there or be forever square and go for glory this Sunday
Beer Sailing Club - supporting our local community - providing a fantastic amenity on the beach - I am pleased to report that we have primed and painted the decking walkway with anti slip paint - A big thank you to Alan B, Mike R, Colin N, Jean D and Paul K for their help in rolling and splashing it on with great gusto and a mention for Adrian M who did his best to make it look like a council job ! Our Annual Christmas Party Our annual Christmas Party will now take place one week earlier. The new date is Saturday 7th December. Late night shopping in Beer is on the previous evening so there will be a good Christmas atmosphere throughout the community on that weekend - Make it a date in your diary
Club Officers The Annual General Meeting will be in November which is not so far away now ! Could you be our nextSecretary, Membership Secretary, Vice Commodore ? If you have the requisite skills to serve our Club in any of these positions or indeed any other capacity we would love to hear from you.
