 Membership Update

As a result of unprecedented demand, social membership was closed during 2021 in order to limit the pressure on the clubhouse.  We have always prided ourselves on being friendly and welcoming but this measure was introduced to prevent over-crowding and enable our record number of existing members to fully enjoy our facilities and events in a safe and fair manner.

We have just been through our 2022 renewals and am pleased to report that we have been able to admit a number of new social members from our waiting list as part of this process.  However, as a result, social membership is again fully subscribed for 2022.  We hope we may be able to re-open social membership as the season progresses and if you would like to be put on the waiting list please contact Sarah at

We are however still welcoming experienced dinghy sailors to join our fleet – if you would like further details, please contact Matt at or tel. 07810 754116.

Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause but I trust you will understand our position.

Our aim is to keep you informed about what’s going on, so you can join in, make friends and make the most of your membership.

We send a regular Club Newsletter by email to update you on sailing news, social events, work parties, and loads more so please take the time to read them.  Please ensure we hold a current email address and if you’re not receiving the newsletters, after checking that they aren’t going into your junk mail folder, please let us know – it’s best to contact Sarah at:

The Events Card can be viewed online and copies are also available in the Clubhouse.

We offer a full programme of Sailing and Social Events, use of the clubhouse and bar during sailing and the option of storing your dinghy, rowing boat or kayak on the beach.

We are a club run entirely on a voluntary basis by the members for the members. Where physically possible, we therefore ask that all members volunteer for at least one area of ‘duty’, details of which can be found on the tab below. Training is given where required and is a great way to meet new people and get involved in the club.

Thank you for your support and involvement – here’s to another great year at the Club both on and off the water!

Matt Taylor, Commodore
